The National Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) Council is a home for those who work to improve the health of homeless people and who seek housing, health care, and adequate incomes for everyone. In the National HCH Council, agencies and individuals, clinicians and advocates, homeless people and housed people come together for mutual support and learning opportunities, and to advance the cause of human rights.

National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (http://www.nchv.org)
The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a 13- member board of directors — is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community- based service providers and local, state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.

The Supportive Housing Providers Association (SHPA) is a statewide association of non-profit organizations who provide supportive housing - affordable housing, enriched with supportive services - to individuals and families who are homeless and/or have special needs, such as mental illness, substance abuse issues, or other chronic illness, such as HIV/AIDS. SHPA was started in 1995 with assistance from the Corporation for Supportive Housing. SHPA's members share the conviction, born out of their own experience, that permanent supportive housing provides a permanent, cost-effective solution to homelessness for the state's most vulnerable citizens.

Dec. 21, 2009 Bothell, Wash. - Allstate (NYSE: ALL) announced today that the public auction of a recovered 1965 VW Bus totaled $29,573.50. Last week Allstate announced it would sell the recovered 1965 Volkswagen Bus at auction and donate 100% of the proceeds to Lydia Place, a nonprofit organization in Washington State serving homeless women and children impacted by domestic violence.
